We have an active youth ministry programme at the church. Most activities are normally held in the basement.

The Basement is a room in the Halls building that is used exclusively by the young people of Maxwell Mearns Castle Church. It is completely self-contained with a kitchen to make teas and coffees and has toilets and storage space. It has been decorated for the young people by the young people. We have a pool table and a couple of video games with access to sound and video equipment as well as space to have meetings or just hang out. All young people are welcome to come to any of the activities and check out what’s in it for YOUth at Maxwell Mearns Castle Church.

Sunday

Primetime normally meet in the church. After we are dismissed from the service, 1st to 3rd years meet in The Basement and 4th to 6th years meet in the flat.

Sr. Youth Fellowship (4th year secondary to 21 years of age) meets after the evening service (8.30 pm) in The Basement for a mix of Bible Study, worship and fellowship. We are finished by 10.00 pm but stay open till 10.30 pm.
