SUNDAYS

10.30 am - Morning Worship

Our regular busy morning service for all the family, incorporating something for everyone. Children leave after the first half of the service for Sunday School and Prime Time. There are crèche facilities for young children in the Dorothy Lloyd room. The theme for each Sunday is normally intimated in the local newspaper. Join us for tea and coffee in the Maxwell hall following the service where you will find a friendly welcome.

7.30 pm - Evening Worship

Sunday evening services are usually at 7.30pm

The format of evening services during the vacancy is varied. Advance notice will be detailed in the church intimations and on the homepage.

Communion Services

At Maxwell Mearns Castle we normally hold a Communion Service on the second Sunday morning and evening of March, June and December and on one Sunday in September or early October whose date we will announce in advance.

We usually have an informal communion on the Thursday of Holy Week. As to who may participate, the Church of Scotland has an open table for all who love the Lord and it has been the tradition within the Church of Scotland that evidence of such love is demonstrated and affirmed through the public profession of faith that is made upon joining the church.
