Prayer Ministry Team

Pray without ceasing. (1 Thessalonians 5: 17)
Responsibility for encouraging and providing opportunities for either the whole church fellowship or smaller groups to meet together for prayer is undertaken by the Prayer Ministry Team, comprising Laspic Stewart (Convenor), Libby McCree, Winnie Macvicar, and Laura Steven.
The opportunity to gather to pray on a regular basis is provided in our congregational prayer meetings twice a month, held on the morning of the first Saturday of the month, and on the “middle” Wednesday evening of each month. Please read the Church Intimations for reminders of dates and times. We also set aside time for prayer in each of our weekly Home Groups. It is fundamental and of a great blessing and encouragement to the spiritual health and growth of, not only our church fellowship generally, but also each of us as individual Christians that we are engaged in prayer together in these ways.
We also arrange occasional evenings for prayer focusing on a particular need that has come to our attention.
The Ministry Team produces a bi-monthly Prayer News Sheet, dealing with prayer concerns at home and overseas. Pick one up from the table outside the Maxwell Hall.

Children Ministry Team

The kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. (Matthew 19: 14)
The Sunday Schools, the various weekly children’s groups, and annual events such as the Holiday Club are all branches of the work of the Children Ministry team.

Youth Ministry Team

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young. (1 Timothy 4: 12)
By the provision of a range of groups, the Youth Ministry Team addresses the interests of a varied range of teenagers and by offering a programme of relevant activities, aims to stimulate thought and challenge, both physically and spiritually. As well as training youth from within the church, we hope also to appeal to those with little or no church connection. We provide a structure of pastoral care for young people and help them to find ways to feel part of the life and worship of the church.
